The Tamar Journal

A number of editions of the ‘Tamar Journal’ are now available on the website. Each edition of this annual journal produced by Friends of the Tamar Valley contains in-depth articles, pictures and photographs covering a wide range of topics about the Tamar Valley and surrounding areas, including mining, fishing, farming, history, family life, railways and a multitude of other themes.

There are 46 journals in total going back as far as the first edition in 1978 but for now only Vols 34 to 46 will be available while earlier editions are being worked on prior to release.

Numerous authors have devoted a great deal of time researching these articles over the years and they are an immensely valuable source of information for anyone who has an interest in the history of the Tamar Valley.
