Young Tamar
Young Tamar
Funding from the Viscountess Boyd Fund enabled the TCT to produce and print a 40-page booklet full of stories, facts and figures all about the Tamar Valley specifically aimed at schoolchildren in the area. <br>Subjects range from daffodils to bridges, elephants to arsenic and a lot more that should appeal to young minds!
A mixture of historical facts about wildlife, flowers, the river Tamar in Tasmania, Wacker Quay, mines, market gardening and a puzzle or two should go down well with young readers and hopefully will encourage them to find out more about the valley and maybe form the basis of a few school projects in the future.<br>Maybe enough interest will be generated to enable a ‘Junior Friends of the Tamar Valley’ group to be created as well. <br>
Special thanks go to A2Z Sign & Print for producing the booklet.
